Real Companhia Velha is a historic wine producer from Portugal’s Douro region, established in 1756 by royal charter from King José I. As the oldest wine company in Portugal, it played a pivotal role in defining the Douro Valley as the world’s first demarcated wine region. Today, the company produces a range of wines, including both Port and Douro wines, from its five estates totaling 557 hectares of vineyards.
