Pernod Paris

Pernod Paris is a classic French anise-flavored liqueur, originally developed as an absinthe substitute after the 1915 ban. Made from distillates of star anise and fennel, it is blended with 14 additional botanicals including coriander, chamomile, mint, and veronica, resulting in a complex, herbaceous profile with pronounced notes of anise and licorice. When diluted with water, it transforms from a clear, pale yellow to a milky hue—a visual effect known as «louching.» Traditionally enjoyed as an aperitif, it is also a versatile ingredient in cocktails and culinary dishes.
