Blue Nun Original is a German white wine blend, mainly from Müller‑Thurgau (sometimes called Rivaner) and Riesling grapes, produced in the Rheinhessen region. It was first launched in 1921 and became one of the world’s most popular wines by the 1950s—initially labeled as Liebfraumilch before being reclassified and slightly modernized in the 1990s
