Eikendal Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied red wine from Stellenbosch, South Africa, crafted from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It offers aromas of ripe berries, dark chocolate, spices, and pencil shavings, leading to a palate with silky tannins, balanced fruitiness, and delicate oak flavors, culminating in a lingering finish. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and matures for 12 months in custom-made Burgundian oak barrels, followed by 6 months of bottle aging. With an alcohol content around 14.5%, it pairs well with dishes like roasted vegetable tarts and beef short ribs.
